The employer filed a cap exempt h1b petition on my behalf on 1st Arpil

Question

The employr filed a cap exempt of H1b petition on my behalf on 1st April and we have still not received any reciept for the same. can anyone help me if this was:

1) We should not get the reciept by now considering this was a cap exempt petition and we din't have anything to do with the lottery? or

2) Since this petition was filed on 1st of April, it would have got mixed up wiht 1000s of other petitions and got stuck somewhere?

Not necessary. You can always go back and check with your employer if and see if the check was encashed. It will have an reference number on the back.
