Can I continue to work for a cap-exempt employer after my OPT expires while an H1B petition is pending?

I'm currently on OPT, which expires on 6/12/17. I'm going through the interview process with two cap-exempt employers. If I start working and if they file an H1b application before my OPT expires, can I continue to work with them?
