Can I transfer H1b cap exempt to a non-profit organization?

I recently recieved an offer from non-profit organization called Ascension Healthcare to manage money for the pension plan while I am working at a University money endowmment department on H1B cap exempt.

So I am skeptical about this situation. Can I transfer to acension (I know that not all non-profit jobs are eligible for cap exempt)

You are absolutely right.

You can check with your local attorney.. Also check what is the non-profit organization's status. Check why you think you should be cap exempt?  Since this is a question speciifc to the organization, you should be doing more research.
