My h1b was approved but my OPT expired way back starting h1b application. I have applied for STEM OPT. For almost 6 monhts, I have recieved a denial letter for the extension. Luckily my H1b got approved in 6 months.
Should I leave US? I spoke to DSO that I can stay until my H1b becomes active.
Will I also get a 60 days grace period?

Your h1b will be active after Oct1st. You should have at least a valid OPT (STEM OPT) if you need to stay in US until then. So if you are no longer, then sorry you have to return back once your visa is valid.
