I initially signed contract with my employer in India for 6 months notice period after resigning. Now that i am in US, I gave just 45 days notice period. I am moving to h4 due to personal reasons.

1. Should i still serve notice period even after 45 days?

2. What options do I have in case they are not relieving me?

3. Can I stop working on the same day I get H4 visa recipet from USCIS?

1. this is not enforced in US. you dont have to serve 6 months notice period.

2. Just walk away from your job. no one can stop you

3. It is your wish, you may want to continue working or if your h4 is approved then you can stay at home
