Can I change my h1b status to F1 if I am out of status since 6 months?

I didnt get a job yet and I am considering F1 visa and enrol into college. 

What are my chances of getting the F1 visa considering my out of status condition?

 

If i get F1 visa, will I be able to seek H1b legally while I am on F1 visa?

 You cannot change status if you are out of status. You would need to apply for a visa abroad. Your chances of getting an F-1 visa are small. Better to keep looking for a job, and apply for an H-1B visa after you get one.
