My h1b visa with previous employer initiated GC and they are asking money for that

Question

My previous employer intiated my GC and asked for me to pay the fee. I didn't want to continue with that, so moved to a different company. They threatened me to give money for the GC.
He aked me to send them the DD and said they would spoil my career.

I lost $4000 and no GC as well, please help
