Have approved h1b and planning to travel for sometime out of US

I got my h1b approved for this year and planning to come to USA soon and leave after a couple of months.
If I want to come back to USA later on, can I use my H1B approval to obtain a cap - exempt H1-B later on.? will that be possible?
