Pregnancy related temporary disability while on H1b

I am due for my maternity leave since I am 8 months pregnant and currently working on H1b. Howevr, my employer is not providing any benefits, so just checking if I can avail the state disability leave benefits on H1b?

You can take FMLA  (family medical leave act) and this is the state leave for 3 months unpaid time which you can spend to take care of your baby. Some states will give you more.
You can also check with your immigration lawyer to see if you can avail those types of leaves. Also check with lawyer to see if taking FMLA affects your h1b or not.
