Company A sponsored my h1b visa and i am planning to resign from this company.
CompanyB, is ready for my h1b transfer. But the lawyer said, I don't have to wait for the reciept from companyA and I can resign as soon as they file my transfer.

Is there any issue in this situation?

If you do have an option of waiting for some days, I would suggest you better do that. Reciepts will take just a couple of days only.

Also, when it comes to protecting my client's status, I am quite conservative
