My h1b was valid from Oct 2005 and expired on Oct 2008. I traveld ad used it from March 2006 to Oct 2006. I also had L1b from a different employer and traveled in 2009 for just 2 months. But my L1b now got expired in Oct 2011 itself.

\Another h1b was filed by employer3 under cap exempt.
1. How many years of cap exempt can I get? Does my L1b stay also count here?
2. Can I get an extension if I travel on H1b at this time?

Whatever is remaining out of your 6 year stay that will be cap exempt.
L1 wil also surely count against the maximum time.
