4.5 months Overstay after H1b expired

I was hired by a company in 2007 after my graduation. I was laid of in 2008 and I overstayed for 4.5 months looking for another job and then returned to India. Now I got job offer from a company and they are ready to sponsor my H1b. Will my visa be approved since I overstayed las time?

Your visa may be rejected again as Counselor office has certainly wil have details of your application. However, you may try to convince them and appologize for breaking the rules.
