Hi,
My employer filed my I-140 in August 2012 and got approval on November 1st 2012 when i checked in USCIS site (I took the screen shot of approval). Mean while my employer (Location X) sold the company to other person who is located in different place (Location Y) and shifted company location from Location X to Location Y with same company name & other formalities.
When USCIS sent my approved I-140 documents to my 1st employer (Location X), office address is not available and documents went back to USCIS again. On November 19th, my I-140 status got changed in USCIS website to like below. Below information is not exactly same but the over all meaning is like below.
"We sent the documetns to your office location and we are unable to find the physical office address. The documents are came back to us and this may seriously effect on your case".
Now when i requested my new employer about my I-140, he advised me to apply for I-140 Duplicate Copy. We applied and we received I-140 duplicate copy with Notice Date as "10-14-2013".
Now what should i understand? Is my original I-140 approval date is November 1st 2012 or i need to consider October 14th 2013 as my I-140 Duplicate copy Notice date? I dont have any document proof when i saw 1st November 2012 as my I-140 approved. (I have only screen shot which i took on November 1st 2012 - I-140 Approved)
I want to move to different company/employer now.
1. How many months i should wait if i want to move to other employer & carry my I-140 priority date?
2. Which Notice date i should consider?
3. Is my employer have a right to cancel my I-140 even after 6 months or 1 year?
Moving reason: My employer is not paying correctly.
Note: USCIS website is still showing the same status which i mentioned above.
Please help/guide me some one with your answers.
