I have been working through a company where the model is my employer is under a vendor , and vendor is under a client so
me -> my employer -> Vendor-> client
I am on OPT status and my OPT is to expire coming year on 2014 November. I am working as .Net Developer. Last year my employer filed my h1b but I did not get picked up in the lottery. After hearing many things from many people I am in the impression that my employer never filed H1b for me last year (because I had enough time remaining on OPT so they just made an excuse to it). Now they are saying they are filing my GC now on EB2 because I am a masters in Software Engg. But they do not give me the details very clearly. They are also saying they will file h1b for me coming year again.
Is there a way I can find out whether my H1b was never picked up in the lottery ? How can I find if the employer is cheating me or not ? For EB2 GC Process how often should I follow them up to know every steps as to where my application is at right now ?
I shall be really obliged if I could get these answers.
