I got my H1B Petition approved (H4 to H1). Can I start working after 6 months instead of starting from October?.

I got my H1B Petition approved (H4 to H1). So as per Visa, I can start working from October. But since I am currently pregnant, I will not be able to start in October. But I can start in January. Is that acceptable as per the H1B Visa regulations?

I am in same situation as yours. I have valid H1B starting oct 2014 and cant work since am pregnant. Is there a way to extend my H4 for 6 more months? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
