Will I be out of status if I dont enter the payroll of employer on H1B visa?

I was on L1 with employer X since 2011 and I hold a valid visa. My H1B visa got approved in 2014 with employer Y. Will I be out of status if i continue to work with employer X on L1 visa and do not enter the payroll of employer Y? If yes, then for how long can I continue to work wiht current employer on L1 in US?

You will be workng without authorization if you are working with employer X with L1 visa sicne you already hold H1B visa.
