I have question on change of status of my h1b to GC

I am working in USA on h1b which is valid for 3 more years. Many people have changed status to GC after they finish h1b a couple of years.

Will it be possible to move from h1b to GC? when is the earliest i can start processing?

your employer should prove that they cannot find a qualified US worker for your job. This is called the PERM process.

 it may take quite a few years, so pursue your employer quickly. Your employer must pay the fees for this process.
