H1b conversion from SEVIS COS J1

Question

I am a trainee on J1 and trying to apply for h1b. I know SEVIS gets updates about my change of status. So my hiring company is saying they will have to terminate my J1 immediately because of the COS.

Will SEVIS get the update to COS and reported to sponsor company and will they be able to terminate J1?

Generally a sponsoring company can ask that your Ji visa be terminated if you violate the terms of the J1. It is best to consult an attorney.
