Transfering h1b when amendment is in progress

I am in my 1st year of employment on h1b and the employer has started my h1b amendment already.
At this stage is it possible to change to a different employer if my h1b amendment is just initiated?

Off course yes, your h1b amendment is still pending. So you are free to change employer. Later once it gets approved, you can request your previous company to withdraw the amendment they filed.
