I work as a Lab manager with my h1b visa.

I'd like to teach Italian in my spare time at a language school, it would be only 6 hours per week, and I would be paid hourly. Can I do it with only one H1-B status?

Could this be a problem if I apply later for a green card?

No you won't be able to do that  because our H-1B status is only for the specific employer and a role.

It is OK to take up a part time, second job, but the employer for each full or part time job will need to file a new  "concurrent" H-1Bs.

teaching a foreign language might not qualify for an H-1B, but check with a local immigration lawyer.
