Is it possible to work after h1b is transfer is under initial review?

I am working on OPT and my employer has filed my h1b transfer before October 1st 2013. I already have my i-797 approved from my previous employer. This was due to the start of my h1b which is still under initial review.
Is it possible to continue working after October 1st when I am still waiting on my h1b visa initial review?

You cant join companyB with a pending petition after October 1st, if you have worked for EmployerA and wish to port.
You can also not work with Employerb with a pending petition. However try considering premium processing to speeden the process.
