I am a student with F1 visa and got a job. My employer applied h1b for me and recently heard about change of status. What does it mean?
Should my employer request for a COS after my h1b is approved?
Or
Will h1b approval makes my conversion easy to h1b?
h1b
cos

Change of status - your status changed from one visa type to another, and this includes various factors such as how the petition was filed, when the status expires and many more.
