Deadline to enter US after h1b is stamped

My h1b is approved and stamped, but my company who sponsored the visa wants me start later than the visa validity start date. I am not sure what exactly is the exact join date.

How long will I be allowed to wait outside or inside US before starting?
1. Do i have a deadline to enter US after having my H1b stamped?
Can I enter US anytime after the start date mentioned in the visa/I-797 after a couple of months.
Will this be an issue if I enter after the date given in I-797?

2. Within how many days can I start working after entering US on H1b?

You can consult your company attorney for this.
But you can enter anytime as long as your visa is valid. Also, you need to produce employment letter during the port of entry and be ready to explain them your situation.
