Applying H1B Amendment and its consequences

Hello,

Am working in A Company in X City, i “may” have to go to another City Y for the same A company during January end for a different assignment. But that assignment is not confirmed yet.

In case if we go for premium Amendment processing, new LCA and Amendment Processing will take minimum of 3 weeks. Lets assume my amendment gets approved by Jan 15 2014. And my new work location is Y after amendment approval. But if the assignment in Y is not materialized, can i still work in the same X City with my original LCA or should i need to apply amendment again to switch back my location from Y to X .

We can wait till the new assignment is materialized and then apply amendment to Y location, but still wanted to know the consequence of this situation.
