What Documents to get from employer after H1B is approved?

Question

I am on L1B visa and employer has applied for H1B and got it approved. My h1 is effective from Oct 1st. I haven't gone out of USA, so could not stamp my visa yet. Just wanted to make sure that i can collect all the necessary documents.
1. What visa documents I need to get from employer?
2. If I need to get h1b, should i be willing to show all of my original documents?
3. When I change my job later by h1b transfer process, should i have the h1b before i start working?
