Is it possible to transfer H1b from companyA to companyB without working on companyA?

My H1b visa was sponsored by companyA, but they haven't sent me offer letter yet. I know that a US citizen has also applied for the same job.  So, I am looking for another company and I would need to transfer my visa now.  Is that feasible?

You should be asking companyB's attorney, they will surely know how to proceed. They should be hiring immigration attorney if they do not have any answers to your questio.
