Will joining a new employer affect H1b extension process?

Though my H1b is approved for 1 year, my LCA is only valid for 3 years. I will have to apply for H1b extension before expiry I believe.
Is it OK to change my job before or after filing the extension?

You can join the new employer only after you file H1b extension.
