I am in US on H4. I had a work permit (H1) which expired less than a month ago. I have work history in the US. Can I reapply for H1 within a year from expiry?

If you didn`t use your 6 yrs of H-1B , your employer can reapply for H-1B and it is not subjected to the quota.
