My h1b visa is approved and got stamped in May 2010. But the visa was not renewed after the expiry as I left the employer. I did not travel to US during the VISA validity period due to health issues. Now I am in US with my spouse in H4 visa and not working.
Can anyone please let me know if I can file for h1b extension with the help of a sponsor in USA for my expired visa as i heard recently that extension can be applied even after expiry wthout cap limit if the VISA is approved within the previous 6 years. Please give me an advise on this.
