My H1b visa is expiring in Jan2015 . I have my I 797 valid until Sep 2015. I am travelling to India and will return back on 25th Dec. In this case what is the best thing to do. I still work for the same employer for which the VISA and I797 is approved. Do I have to take a visa interview date or I just need to drop my passport with the valid I797 at USCIS in INDIA.?
