Is it Ok to travel On B1 while H1 petition is filed ? Can I change the status once my H1 is approved ? What are the Pros and Cons to change status from B1 to H1 ?

Nope It is not advisable to travel on B1 visa while your H1B petition is in Process. As your latest I-94 will be your latest status.

I-94 will have a duration of 6 months or less right, what if my h1 is approved while I'm in US, can I apply for change of status then ? what is the process to apply for change of status? do I have to leave US and come back in on H1 ?

If I travel on B1 while H1 petition is in process will the Port of Entry object from entering to US ?
