I used AVR to cross the border from Canada to US.

I was on H4 and had H4 visa stamped on the passport with a I94 stapled to the passport. I changed status to H1 this Jan and I am currently on H1. The border agent at US border took out the I94 corresponding to H4 stapled to the passport saying that I wont need it anymore. Is this normal procedure ? He said that my new I94 is the one at bottom of the I797(H1b) approval notice. Is this correct?

Automatic Visa Revalidation and is not a reference to the first flash-programmable microcontroller, designed in Norway.

As for your I-94 ... the CBP agent appears to be correct.
