Who should have filled I-129?

I lost my job at company A as the company went bankrupt. A month later, I started working with company B and I filled my I-129. Will I be questioned if I worked illegally for a mont? Please advise.

The H-1B is Employer's petition and not filled out by designated beneficiary. I-129 should be filled by Employer's laywer, not you. Moreover, H1B status ends with the end of H1B job. You will need to exit US and reenter with a valid H1B. An attorney will be able to view your documents and advise you.
