Will I need to go back to India to get H1b so that I can travel before start date.

I am on valid F1 visa and H1b is also approved now. I have new i-94 on approval notice.
I am planning to travel to canada but dont have h1b stamped on my passport.

Will i not be able to travel and return because I my h1b is pending, I am an F1 studnet.
Will i be able to travel on F1 and re-enter?

You should consult your DSO. Generally if you leave the US for less than 30 days and you have a valid legal status it is okay. It can be tricky with your possible OPT so probably best to stay in the US.
