Hi Everyone,
I have a rather specific question regarding filing for GC under EB2 category. I have been working in the same company for 2 years now, in California. I joined the company full time when I still had 6 months to graduation for MS. I was told that since I started work before finishing my Masters I would be eligible only for EB3. I also have almost 2 years of prior work experience in India.
Now, I am being promoted from SDE2 to SDE3 and I have 2 years (in India) + 2 years (in SDE 2 role at same company). Plus I also have my Masters now. So my question is whether or not I would be eligible for filing under EB2 now? I have been getting various responses so I thought of getting opinion from you guys.
