Will i be able to transfer h1b visa from cap exempt non-profit to profit organization?

My h1b is cap-exempt and is a healthcare non-profit organization.

Should I be able to transfer my h1b to profit based organization if they are ready to sponsor h1b?

Should they wait till October or can they apply in April?

A new employer will need to file a cap-subject H-1b in April 2014.
