Will I be able to file L1b even if my h1b is approved under this year?

Question

My L1b visa is valid from 2010 to 2013. I filed h1b extension and got denied. So i had to travel back home.

My employer later had to file h1b in April and the petition got approved. 

 

I am planning to file on L1b blanket so that my spouse can work on L2 EAD.

1. Will I have 2 non-immigrant visas at a time?

2. If L1b gets approved then which visa can i use to enter US

You should check with company lawyer for these specific questions.

1a. Why get the H stamp? Your stated goal is to let your spouse work ... stick with the L. 
1b. Yes. But, upon arrival you will need to clearly declare your intentions. Again, why get an H if you're not going to use it?
