I am on h1b and my first term ends in November 2013. I am trying to switch to h1b and had older h1b approved. I used 1 year of it till February.
Will i be able to reinstate my old h1b now and use the left over 5 years?

Yes, you can seek 2 years on H-1B if your ex employer was not cap exempt.
