My h1b was filed by my employer and he didnt recieve my h1b notice (original copy) from USCIS yet.
So my attorney has asked them to send a duplicate copy for 30 days. I also got notice I-797 it says duplicate. I am not sure what is this for and how it works.

Also, I am planning on a vacation and thought of getting it stamped by then if i apply I-824 with a typical wait for 6 months. I got only 2 months left for visa stamping now.

Is it ok if I use the duplicate approval notice and I-824 for stamping?

Go to your employer attorney first instead of you doing research or asking people.
