lost passport

Hello,

I have misplaced my passport and could not find it. I understand i have to file a report and get the process started to apply for a new one. But my current h1b ends in Nov 2017 and there is a petition in pending status  for my H1B extension with USCIS right now. Will there be an issue with the extension petition ? when should I travel to get my visa re-stamped ?  Since my H1b ends in Nov and havent heard and extension petition is still being processed. what are my options ? thanks in advance

If you loss passport then you have report your loss of passport to the nearest police station and to the passport office.Also apply for reissue of passport to the nearest passport seva kendra and submit required documents with your passport application form.
