I am looking for h1b position, and not subjected to 2 years residency. I am in US on my J1 visa. Also, I changed my religion here and can't return home right now.
When I am on asylum is it possible to apply for H1b or f1 to get a valid work status?

In such delicate conditions, you better talk to your immigration lawyer who is very familiar with h1b, f1 and asylum processes.
