I have i140 approved and my 6 yrs are completing next year oct. Can i switch employer and get 3 year extension?

I am working with a company for 4 yrs and 6 yrs of my H1b is completing on next year oct 2017. I have my i140 approved with my current company in april 2015. Can I switch employer now and get my H1b extension for 3 yrs?
