My wife is on H4 so she doesnt have a photo id(DL, StateID).

Visa is going to expire in May 2014.

She has to take her passport with her as a ID proof. We have a valid visa till May 2014. Extension is filed. Status is pending.

If we travel to other states by plane, will they check visa/passport or will it be a problem?

If we can travel, what supporting documents have to be carried along with us?

As long as she has a valid passport, it shouldn`t be a problem. They won`t check the i-94 or visa for domestic travel.

If you have filed the extension, Please keep your receipt number with you which you will get from USCIS within 30 days of filing. There is some time period (240 days but i am not sure exactly how many days) for which you (and thereby your dependent) can legally stay(and fly) in the US.
