H1B Transfer - L1 & L2 visa expired with a valid I-94

Can I do H1B transfer to company B while I am on L2 working for Company A. I am leaving Company A on 6th Sept. However, L1 has left company temperorily and L1 & L2 visa got expired last year and we have a valid I-94 till end of 2014.

L2 status is generally permitted to remain in US and not tied to a particular employer. But there may be a chance if your L2 is no longer valid. It is advisable to talk to your immigration lawyer immediately.
