H1b change of status converting to F1 is possible?

I am in F1 status, taking up a Computer major, still on my 2nd year in school and definitely not in OPT. I have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science in my home country and some experience too. There is an employer willing to file a H1b petition

 

Am I eligible to applying for a Change of Status now from F1 to H1B? Since I have a valid status that will not be expired until 2015. Is application for COS to H1B still possible?

Unless your employer is cap-exempt this is not possible until April.

Stay in school and talk to the DSO about possible Optional Practical training if the job is in your field and could be part-time.
