H1B stamping - Travel via london, UK

probably the most asked question? Why its no recommended to travel via UK for H1 B stamping ...why would you need a UK transit visa when you are changing terminals? I have not been asked to show visa while travelling via uk on F1...

If you have a valid visa (F1,B1 etc) which is not expired, then you dont need transit visa and can travel via london. If your visa is expired, then you need a transit visa through london

I need to travel this December and I need to get my H1 stamped in India. I have my F1 on passport till 2015. When my visa status changes to H1B, don't you think the stamped visa(F1) is expired and not valid ?
