Travel to India during h1b extension progress

I have my h1b until March, and my company has started applying for extension in September which can take upto 6 months for approval i blieve. Will i be able to travel to India in the meanwhile for a month?
Wll this impact on extension progress?

Yes, off course you can travel to India while your extension petition is pending

Dont worry if you still have a valid H-1B approval notice from USCIS AND are able to file for and obtain an H-1B visa with which to return to the US.
