Can I change job while H1B extension is in initial review stage?

My Current H1B expires in Nov 2013. The current employer has filed for extension and its in initial review stage. During this stage can i change my job and get a new employer?

What are the important things to consider for my case.

Yes, you can change your job. It would be filed as an h1b transfer. Don't let your employer know that you are changing jobs since they may revoke your h1b. Unless you tell them, there is no way that your current employer know that you applied for h1b transfer
