visastatusThe Consulate General of the United States in India has announced the new system “CEAC STATUS CHECK”. The Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) now allows you to check your visa application status online.

This new system allows you search the status of any visa you applied to the United States.

Your United States visa application status can be checked using CEAC Status Check website at https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker.

CEAC Status Check System:

Here is what the Consulate General of the U.S. in India comprehends about this new system:

This tool, which allows all visa applicants to verify 24/7 the status of their case online, offers better customer service to visa applicants and continued transparency in our processing.  This initiative follows other recent enhancements, including offsite fingerprinting and photography services and the expanded Interview Waiver Program.

CEAC World-wide:

The CEAC Check system is set to work world-wide and is a global website. This lets the visa applicants applying for visa at any U.S. Consulate throughout the world access their application status. The information provided through this website is up-to-date and accurate.

How to check visa status through CEAC:

All you need is your application or case number to view your case status (along the location where your visa interview occurred). You may need to enter the location where the visa interview took place along with your CEAC barcode or case number and that’s it! You should be able to get an update on your case.

You may contact www.ustraveldocs.com/in for any questions related to the CEAC status check website or other questions related to your visa status. Do remember that you may also get answers to your queries through the call center.

The U.S. Embassy call center is open M-F from 8 am to 8 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm (IST). You can reach them at (91-120) 660-2222 OR (91-22) 6720-9400 in India and at 1-310-616-5424 in the United States.
